Metal details are the coolest makeup trend of summer 2017

Forget glow: metal details are the trend you should wear during summer 2017! We don’t just want a bronze-like effect on our eyelids, we actually want to look like fused bronze is adorning our eyes. And enough with “golden hues”, your lips have to look like they are covered in liquid gold. We saw this trend on the catwalks, and it made it very easy to find inspiration and to add a few new details to our summer makeup. You can test this trend on your eyes, as seen at the Ricostru, Custo Barcelona or Rachel Comey shows… Or you can pucker up your lips and get ready to send metallic kisses, like the models of Acne Studios, Each x Other and DKNY did. The idea is to always get daring with textures, which must be rich and intense, to stop the metal effect from vanishing, and turning into a simple pearly nuance. Liquid eyeshadows and lipsticks are everywhere right now, at Stila, Kat Von D, Kylie Cosmetics and Yves Saint Laurent, as well as in low cost versions at NYX Cosmetic. The choice is yours! If your summer plans include a festival, we encourage you to try this trend in its face art version, turning into modern nymphs, like the ones we saw at Giamba and Issey Miyake‘s shows. No one will be able to take their eyes off you!
