Nail trends: rainbow manicures for Spring Summer 2017

You know that by now, we are always looking at catwalk shows for inspiration, to give you ideas on ways to revamp your look when a new season comes. We talked about hair and makeup trends for Spring Summer 2017, and how could we forget our nails? It was a little harder than normal to come up with our usual trend report, the kind where we discuss what colors are most trendy… Because we truly saw all sorts of colors at the shows! So, rather than sounding an alarm, we are here with a challenge: get creative, and go for a rainbow manicure.

Depending on your levels of expertise, you can choose the version that suits you best: from Manish Arora‘s entire color spectrum in a gradient on your nails, to the beginner-friendly versions by Thom Browne and Philipp Plein, with each nail painted in a different color. If you are pros, you can add little stones or uncommon textures, as did Kenzo and Gareth Pugh, or play with simpler nail art, like Jeremy Scott and Antonio Marras. What matters, basically, is to say no to your usual monochrome polish. Have fun with your manicure, and don’t worry about it matching your outfit — rainbow works with everything!
